How to Rotate Part of a Schematic in Litematica
You cannot rotate the roof alone on a schematic from this site. Save the piece as its own .litematic, load that as a second placement, and rotate the new row.
Steps
- Accept that Rotation on a file from this site turns the whole placement. The compiler writes RegionCount 1.
- If you need one wall or one wing, switch the stick to Area Selection and mark only that piece.
- Save the area as its own schematic. The default chord is Left Control, Left Alt, S (saveAreaAsSchematicToFile).
- Load that new file and create a second placement. Leave the original placement where it is.
- Select the new row and click Rotation on its configure screen. The first placement does not turn with it.
- Nudge the piece until it meets the original. A one-region save still pivots around its own minimum corner.
The quarter-turn button on a whole placement is how to rotate schematics in Litematica. Lining the new piece up to the old corner is how to move a schematic. Area Selection is the mode that sizes the box; Schematic Placement is the mode that turns the ghost you just saved.
One region in the file
The NBT these downloads write sets RegionCount to 1 and a single region whose position is 0, 0, 0. The region name is the schematic name, cut at 64 characters. Configure Schematic placement therefore has one region to transform. Reset all sub-regions on that screen puts that region back to no rotation and no mirror. It does not invent a roof region.
A schematic you saved yourself can contain several regions. In that case the configure list shows each one, and a region’s own rotation does not spin the others. That is still not a second file, and it is not what a generate from this site produces. Mirror of a whole one-region house is how to mirror a schematic. If the new piece will not turn, the lock and the unbound hotkey are rotate not working.

FAQ
Why does the roof turn when I only wanted the door wall?
The Rotation button transforms the placement, and a file from this site has one region. There is no second region for the roof. Save the wall as its own schematic if that wall is the piece that should turn.
What does Reset all sub-regions do?
It clears per-region rotation and mirror back to none. On a one-region file that resets the whole hologram. It does not split the building into pieces.
Can I rotate a sub-region inside one placement?
Only when the schematic actually contains more than one region. The configure screen lists those regions, and each can carry its own rotation. This generator does not write that second region for you.
