Frequently asked questions

Java schematic files from a compiler with 13 fixed build types. 1 build per UTC day is free, up to 20 blocks on a side. Another build, and a converter file over 20,000 non-air blocks, is a one-time $2.99 download. Preview and the material list stay free.

FAQ

What is the difference between .litematic and .schem?

.litematic is Litematica's format: a hologram plus a material list in survival. .schem is Sponge schematic v2, which WorldEdit and FAWE paste as blocks. The same build can be saved as both files. This site does not emit the old numeric-id .schematic from Java 1.12.

Does this run on Bedrock?

No. Java Edition only. .litematic and .schem are Java formats. This site does not emit Bedrock .mcstructure files.

How many builds are free?

Free is 1 build per UTC day, at most 20 blocks on a side. One network is capped at 1 free export per UTC day, even across browsers. Presets and examples only preview and do not spend the free build. Another download the same day is $2.99 per build, one-time, with no subscription.

What does the $2.99 charge buy?

$2.99 buys 1 download of one build: the .litematic, the .schem, and the materials CSV. It is $2.99 per build, charged once per purchase, not a subscription. That paid file compiles up to 48 blocks on a side.

When does the schematic converter charge for a download?

Preview and the material list are free on every file. The download is free at 20,000 non-air blocks or fewer. Above that, the file download is the same one-time $2.99 purchase. An existing Pro purchase is not charged again for that download. Conversion runs in the browser; the file is not uploaded.

How is this different from BlockGPT?

This site is a compiler with 13 fixed build types (house, tower, castle, portal, wall, bridge, pyramid, dome, arch, farm, fountain, circle, platform). It does not turn free-form text or an image into an arbitrary build, and it does not emit Bedrock .mcstructure. BlockGPT's how-to page says you describe an idea and can download .schem, .litematic, .schematic for older Java, or Bedrock .mcstructure. Their pricing page lists monthly and yearly plans. Current prices: see their site at https://blockgpt.ai/.

How is this different from Structmatic?

This site compiles one of 13 fixed shapes. It does not generate a build from a sentence or a reference image, and it does not export Bedrock .mcstructure. Structmatic's homepage (read 2026-10-25) says you describe a build or attach an image, then export .schem, .litematic, .nbt, or .mcstructure, and it listed one-time generation packs from $3. Current prices: see their site at https://structmatic.com/.

How do I import a .litematic file?

Put the .litematic in the schematics folder of the instance you launch, and keep the .litematic extension. Open a world, press M, choose Load Schematics, select the file, then create the placement. Folder paths are on /how-to-load-litematic-in-litematica.

How do I import a .schem file?

Download the .schem. Put it in the WorldEdit or FastAsyncWorldEdit schematics folder for that world. In game, run //schem load with the file name and no extension, stand where the minimum corner should land, then //paste. The folder and commands are on /how-to-import-schematic-worldedit.

What is the refund window, and how do I reach you?

If the .litematic does not open in current Litematica for Java 1.21, email hello@minecraftschematicgenerator.com with the file within 7 days. $2.99 is charged once per purchase. The same address is the contact for anything else.

Is this an AI that builds any description I type?

No. It is a geometric compiler with 13 fixed build types: house, tower, castle, nether portal, wall, bridge, pyramid, dome, arch, farm, fountain, arena (circle), and platform. Words outside those shapes do not add rooms, ships, or statues.

Which Minecraft version are the files for?

Java 1.21.4-era blocks. Files set Litematica version 6 and data version 4189. The .schem is Sponge schematic v2. Older 1.12 numeric-id .schematic files are not emitted.
