Minecraft platform schematic generator

A flat pad with a one-block rim around the edge. Use it as a foundation for another build, a spawn pad, or a flat area to test a schematic on. Download a .litematic hologram or a WorldEdit .schem.

What the platform kernel builds

Layer 0 is a solid slab of the palette’s floor block over the whole footprint. Layer 1 is a ring of the palette’s fence block on the outer edge, one block wide. Everything above is empty. There is no door, no lighting, no stairs, and no gate. In the stone palette the floor is plain stone, not stone bricks, so it reads as a flat grey pad with a brick-coloured rim.

An earlier version of this kernel filled the whole second layer with fence blocks instead of just the rim. That is fixed. The compile now has 48 rim blocks on a 13×13 pad, which is the perimeter of the footprint.

Pick dimensions

Width and depth are the pad. The rim length is twice the width plus twice the depth, minus four. A 13×13 pad has a 48-block rim; a 20×20 pad has 76. The height only needs to be 3 or more, because the pad uses two layers. Free downloads allow up to 20 on a side, Pro up to 48. See size limits for how numbers are read, and prompt tips for palette words.

Use it

A platform is a good test file. Load it with Litematica, check the placement origin, and try move and rotate before you commit to a bigger build. For a creative paste, use the .schem with the WorldEdit steps or Litematica’s paste mode. Stack other builds on it: a tower, a house, or a fountain. Java Edition only.

FAQ

What words make the generator build a platform?

Platform, pad, or floor slab. Other shapes win if the prompt also contains their words: portal, castle, tower, bridge, pyramid, dome, arch, fountain, farm, circle, or wall. Type only the platform.

What does a 13x3x13 stone brick platform contain?

The compile has 169 stone for the floor and 48 stone brick wall blocks for the rim. An oak platform has 169 oak planks and 48 oak fences.

Why did my 13x2x13 platform come out ten blocks tall?

The prompt reader ignores numbers below 3. With 13x2x13 it sees only two numbers and works out a height from the footprint, which gives 10. A platform only uses two layers anyway, so type a height of 3, as in 13x3x13. The extra layer of the box stays empty.

Is the rim a wall or a fence?

It is the palette’s fence block, so a stone palette gives stone brick wall blocks and a wood palette gives that wood’s fence. It is one block tall and runs around the whole edge, with no gap for a gate.

Can I cut a gate in the rim?

Not in the generator. Remove the rim blocks you want open after you place it, by hand or with a WorldEdit selection.
