Litematica 1.21.1

For Minecraft 1.21.1 the current Fabric build is litematica-fabric-1.21-0.19.61.jar with malilib-fabric-1.21-0.21.10.jar. The file says 1.21 and works for 1.21.1. This page lists the dependencies as read from the jars on 2026-10-05, then walks through loading a schematic.
- Make a Fabric 1.21.1 instance (Modrinth App, CurseForge, Prism, or the Fabric installer) and launch it once.
- Download Fabric API for 1.21.1. MaLiLib's metadata requires two of its modules.
- Download malilib-fabric-1.21-0.21.10.jar from Modrinth. The file name says 1.21 because the same jar covers 1.21 and 1.21.1.
- Download litematica-fabric-1.21-0.19.61.jar, also from Modrinth, and put all three jars in that instance's mods folder.
- Open a world and press M. The Litematica menu should appear before you load anything.
- Copy a .litematic into the instance's schematics folder, then press M, choose Load Schematics, select the file and load it.
The two files, as Modrinth lists them
| File | Published | Fabric metadata says |
|---|---|---|
| litematica-fabric-1.21-0.19.61.jar | 2026-07-06 | minecraft >=1.21 <=1.21.1, malilib >=0.21.10, client side |
| malilib-fabric-1.21-0.21.10.jar | 2025-12-25 | minecraft >=1.21 <=1.21.1, fabric-networking-api-v1 >=4.2.0, fabric-resource-loader-v0 |
The last two columns come from fabric.mod.json inside each jar, not from a repost. Fabric API is not a Litematica download, but the MaLiLib row shows why a bare install can stop on a missing module.
Builds to skip on 1.21.1
Modrinth also lists 0.19.58 (2025-05-04), 0.19.57 (2025-03-02) and an alpha tagged 0.19.56-do-not-use (2025-03-02) for the same game versions. The name is the maintainer's own warning. Anything before 0.19.61 also predates the July 2026 path-traversal fix; the fixed-version table is on Litematica vulnerability.
If you also run Tweakeroo, MiniHUD or Item Scroller on 1.21.1, update them together with MaLiLib. MaLiLib 0.21.10 declares a conflict with Litematica 0.19.55 or older, Tweakeroo 0.21.56 or older, MiniHUD 0.32.56 or older and Item Scroller 0.24.56 or older.
Where the .litematic goes and how to load it
Put the file in the schematics folder of the instance you launch, not the global .minecraft if you use a launcher that isolates instances. In the world, press M, click Load Schematics, pick the file, load it, then place it. The long version with paths for each launcher is how to import a litematic.
Files from this generator on 1.21.1
The compiler on this site writes Litematica format version 6 with data version 4189, which is Java 1.21.4. Minecraft 1.21.1 is data version 3955. In the 1.21 source branch of Litematica, readFromNBT compares the two numbers; when the file is more than 100 ahead it raises the message Schematic is from a future version of Minecraft: '4189' > '3955'. Some NBT data may be at risk of corruption. and carries on loading. The same message is in the 0.19.61 jar's language file.
What lowers the risk here: the generator's blocks are plain ones (planks, stairs, logs, glass, doors, lanterns, walls). A check on 2026-10-05 of all 96 block ids the generator can emit against the PrismarineJS block list found every one present in 1.21.1. What is not verified: an actual load on a 1.21.1 client. If you want a guaranteed match, use the 1.21.4 install for generator files and keep 1.21.1 for builds you already have.
Common errors on 1.21.1
- Crash or error screen before the title. Read
logs/latest.log. A missing or too-old MaLiLib, or missing Fabric API, shows there. See MaLiLib missing. - M does nothing. The jars are in the wrong instance, or another mod uses M. Check the mod list, then the hotkeys.
- Load Schematics is empty. The file is in a different instance's folder or ends in
.litematic.txt. See Litematica not working. - Hologram is flickering or missing with shaders. Modrinth's own page says rendering does not work properly with shaders from 1.21.3 up. 1.21.1 is older than that, but shader packs can still break it, so test with shaders off first.
- Wrong Java. Minecraft 1.21 runs on Java 21. The official launcher bundles it; a custom launcher with an old Java will not start the game.
Need a schematic to test with?
Type a build into the schematic generator, download the .litematic and its material list, and load it as above. Other versions are in the Litematica download table; for the mod itself see Litematica mod.
FAQ
Which Litematica file is for Minecraft 1.21.1?
litematica-fabric-1.21-0.19.61.jar, published on Modrinth 2026-07-06 as a release. Its fabric.mod.json accepts Minecraft 1.21 up to 1.21.1 and requires MaLiLib 0.21.10 or newer in that line. There is no separate 1.21.1-only file in the current series.
Why is the jar called 1.21 when I run 1.21.1?
One build covers both game versions, and its file name carries only the lower one. Older builds such as 0.19.50 (2024-08-20) were named litematica-fabric-1.21.1-0.19.50.jar. The version tags on Modrinth list both 1.21 and 1.21.1 for 0.19.61.
Which MaLiLib do I need for Litematica 0.19.61?
malilib-fabric-1.21-0.21.10.jar, published 2025-12-25. Litematica 0.19.61 declares malilib >=0.21.10, so an older 0.21.x library makes Fabric refuse to start the game. MaLiLib itself needs the networking and resource-loader modules of Fabric API.
Will a .litematic from this site load on 1.21.1?
Probably, with a warning. The generator writes data version 4189 (Java 1.21.4); 1.21.1 is 3955. Litematica's 1.21 code shows a 'schematic is from a future version of Minecraft' warning when the file is more than 100 data versions ahead, then keeps loading. Every block id the generator can write exists in 1.21.1, but this site has not loaded a generator file on a 1.21.1 client, so check the result in the material list.
Is 1.21.1 covered by the July 2026 security fix?
Yes. The maintainer's fixed build for 1.21 to 1.21.1 is 0.19.61, which is the current file. Older 1.21.1 builds (0.19.58 and earlier) are from before that fix.
